Our Leadership Team
Harold Cipin
Chief Executive Officer
Harold spent more than twenty-five years providing professional management services to the condominium industry in Ontario. As Chief Executive Officer of Newton-Trelawney Property Management Inc. he is committed to ensuring that all of our client corporations and their respective communities are provided with exceptional leadership & professional attention. Harold is dedicated to continually striving to enhance the integrity of the condominium management industry within the province. He is a former President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO), serving two terms, as well as the current President and founding member of the National Association of Condominium Managers (NACM). Harold received his RCM accreditation in 2000 and was awarded the RCM of the Year Award and the President’s Citation for excellence and distinguished service in 2009. In 2019 he was presented with the Leader of the Year Award by ACMO for his outstanding leadership within the industry in general and in support of his staff and clients specifically. He has written several articles for the Association’s quarterly Condominium Manager (CM) magazine. He has served as the chair of the annual ACMO/CCI conference as well as a speaker and moderator on numerous occasions. Harold holds a graduate degree from Indiana State University and an under-graduate degree from York University.
Lucian Oboroceanu
President
Lucian is responsible for maximizing the organization’s operating performance and achieving its financial goals. Other functions include liaising with the board of directors, developing and managing strategic platform initiatives of improving customer experience, overseeing revenue generation and general operations. Lucian is also responsible for ensuring high levels of execution across the organization, that have resulted in exceptional portfolio performance, earning his reputation as an innovator and leader in the industry. Lucian has over 25 years’ experience in Property and Facilities Management, holds a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering and FMA designation with BOMI. His hobbies include photography, travel and golf.
Sonia Vale
Chief Financial Officer
Sonia has an extensive financial background in the service and property management industries over the past 25 years. She is responsible for the corporate accounting and administration.
Wendy Wright, RCM
Director of Operations, Highrise Division
Wendy joined Newton-Trelawney in 2004 and specializes in the operations of complex high-rise condominium developments. Over the years, Wendy has directly or indirectly overseen the management of dozens of large luxury residential buildings, implementing detailed maintenance schedules, large construction projects, community enhancements and superior customer service initiatives. Wendy oversees a team of exceptionally talented and dedicated Building Managers who strive to provide exception service to every building owner and board director.
Jon Tiniche, RCM
Director of Operations, Townhouse Division
Jon joined Newton-Trelawney in 2001 and quickly emerged as an industry leader in restoring and fixing challenged properties and enhancing property values in townhouse condominiums. Jon’s years of experience managing the complexity of various townhouse styles has made him an expert in project management, astute administrative and budgeting skills. Having obtained his Certified Residential Commercial Property Management designation and Registered Condominium Manager designation, Jon leads an ardent team of experienced and talented Townhouse Managers who strive to provide exceptional customer service and guidance to our condominium communities.
Rita Yu
Manager, Accounting and Administration
Rita has an extensive background in engineering and accounting, having worked for various accounting firms and service-based companies over the past 30 years. Along with a vast knowledge of client and corporate property management accounting, Rita has extensive experience in corporate administration. Rita oversees a team of experienced and skilled bookkeepers and administrators who strive to provide the highest level of service to our condominium board directors and homeowners.
